That Sugar Land property had been neglected for years. The existing patio was deteriorating, the planting beds were overgrown with weeds, and the entire landscape required a complete redesign rather than a simple renovation.
The homeowners wanted to create a "English garden" while solving several practical Texas challenges at the same time.

To achieve these goals, we combined evergreen structure (Japaneze Holly & Abelia, varieg. Ligustrum "balls", Boxwood hedges, flowering shrubs), ornamental grasses, native perrenials (Salvia, Lantana), and seasonal color (Angelonia) into a layered planting design that provides interest throughout the Texas year.
The outdoor lighting system was carefully planned to highlight architectural features, specimen plants, pathways, and focal points, allowing the garden to transform completely after sunset.
